EOS Investments is asset manager to a new Student Accommodation Fund formed in conjunction with a leading fund manager and advisor in the sector.

Acquisition - EOS will acquire 1500-2000 five-bedroom homes in key locations across the UK over the next five years, for institutions keen to invest in this emerging asset class. The fund will deliver strong yields, income growth and the potential for capital gain within a tax-efficient structure.

Refurbishment - Portfolios of student homes acquired under the Freedom2 brand will be refurbished to a contemporary and consistent standard in keeping with the higher expectations of domestic and overseas students.

Letting - All properties will continue to be professionally let and managed by Freedom2 to ensure the promise of the brand is delivered throughout the life of the fund.

Opportunity - The fund expects to take full advantage of the weakness in the residential market and the poor availability of finance, to offer IRRs which are attractive and highly competitive in the current economic climate. The fund will also offer significant advantages over 'private hall' funds.
